Volunteer with BRASS
Volunteering with BRASS is a wonderful way to make a real difference in the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in our community.
Whether you have a few hours a week or just want to help occasionally, your time and support can go a long way in helping others feel welcome, valued, and supported. BRASS offers a warm, friendly environment where volunteers are truly appreciated and encouraged to use their skills—or develop new ones—while meeting people from all walks of life. Come join us and be part of something meaningful!
English Language Tutors
Volunteering as an English tutor with BRASS is a rewarding way to support refugees and asylum seekers as they settle into life in the UK. By helping people improve their English, you’re not just teaching a language, you are helping them to build confidence, become more independent, and enabling them to connect with others. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher, just patient, friendly, and willing to help others learn. Whether you can commit regularly or occasionally, your time can make a big difference. Join our welcoming team and help create brighter futures through language and learning!

Advice Centre Volunteers
If you enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives, then come and volunteer at our advice centre. Join our team of volunteers, and meet people from around the world. We provide free and impartial advice on a whole range of issues. You'll be given on-the -job training and support.
No experience required. However, we do ask that you can volunteer regularly on at least one of these days and times: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Volunteering is from 10am to 2pm, when our advice surgeries are open.
